Since she was five, Ashley knew she wanted to help people solve their problems.
She took that love for solving problems to Purdue and majored in Computer Information Systems. When she arrived on campus, she found herself to be “a fish out of water.” The girl from Anderson, Indiana, was suddenly surrounded by brilliant classmates who were almost all boys. She figured out how to survive and thrive by getting herself on a first-name basis with her professors and classmates.
After graduation, she went to Eli Lilly and Company where she drove many successful projects within IT. She then did the unthinkable and stepped away from a tech world that doesn’t stop to stay home with her three children.
Since returning to work nine years ago, Ashley had to relearn everything she knew before and catch up on all that happened while she was gone. She has helped businesses like Community Health Network, where she supported physicians’ reporting needs and brought in project management practices to her team. At Allegion, where she joined shortly after their spin-off and had the opportunity to implement multiple digital transformation initiatives, like a 1200 plus user CRM and lead a program to develop a custom-based web portal for Allegion’s customers. While at DDI, she led the effort to solve their SaaS product issues and regained trust with their board and customers, who had nearly given up on the company. She did this by creating a culture of transparency. She also went back to school for her MBA and became a coach with Metronome United.
Ashley has learned three important lessons during her journey
Relationships are the key to solving any problem
Be firm on your goals, but agile in your approach
Values are the ultimate decision maker
Ashley knows how to identify problems and help leaders solve them. She started The Waltline Group, LLC to share her knowledge and help leaders who want to align their teams and create a clear path to hit their goals with confidence. She loves to work with humble leaders who are not afraid of challenging the status quo and want to make their people, organization, and customers awesome.
