We welcomed Lucy, the Sales VP, to the team last quarter.
Unfortunately, instead of new retrieving leads, she keeps retrieving toilet paper!
Leads are the metric she is responsible for hitting.
As a company, one of our top priorities this quarter is to generate X number of leads.
Lucy wants to do the right thing to move the business forward, but she can’t get the daily habit of retrieving toilet paper (fighting the fire in front of her) off her mind.
What about you and your business?
Do you know your number one priority for your business this quarter?
Are you working on achieving it, or are you fighting daily fires and picking up toilet paper?
Are you using a metric to track your progress and using a daily huddle to stay on track?
Is your progress available on a scoreboard for transparency where all can see, and your team can iterate and be agile to hit their goal?
Hint: I used a tool from Metrone.United called Metronome Growth Systems.
Don’t flush this quarter down the toilet!
